State Of Mobile Voice App Experience

There’s a clear voice experience divide between developed markets and developing countries in Asia.

Opensignal, an independent mobile analytics firm, has released a report that measures the quality of over-the-top (OTT) voice services experienced by consumers across 80 countries.

User mobile experience is commonly quantified in metrics such as download, upload speeds, 4G availability and latency. Yet, with voice apps — such as WhatsApp, Skype and Facebook — and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) calls increasingly being preferred over cellular calls, there is a need to take a closer look at users’ perceived experience on such services.

One key finding: there is a clear voice experience divide between developed markets and developing countries in Asia.
